Where Are MAMP PRO Files Created and/or Changed?

MAMP PRO creates and modifies several files outside of the MAMP PRO folder. Below is a list of these locations:

• MAMP PRO Settings and Files:

  • /Library/Application Support/appsolute/MAMP PRO
  • ~/Library/Application Support/appsolute/MAMP PRO
  • ~/Library/Preferences/de.appsolute.mamppro.plist
  • ~/Library/Preferences/de.appsolute.MAMP.plist
  • /Library/LaunchDaemons/de.appsolute.mampprohelper.plist

• MySQL:

  • /Library/Application Support/appsolute/MAMP PRO/db/mysql57

• Dynamic DNS:

  • /Library/LaunchDaemons/de.appsolute.mamp_dyndns.plist
  • ~/Library/LaunchAgents/de.appsolute.mamp_dyndns.plist

• Postfix:

  • If Postfix is configured, an existing configuration will be backed up to: /etc/postfix/MAMP_backup before writing a new config file.

These locations are important for managing settings, databases, and services configured by MAMP PRO.
